O'Reilly Advertisers

Reported by Judy - November 12, 2005

While Bill O'Reilly still has his foot in his mouth for inviting terrorists to strike San Francisco, this is the time to strike back. Here's how.

Here is a list of contacts in Fox News' cable advertising department. I suggest calling and emailing them and demanding a list of advertisers for his television show because you want to contact them to complain. This may be a more direct way of getting their attention than going through the advertisers first. This information was emailed to News Hounds and I cannot personally vouch that it is accurate, although I did call a couple of the phone numbers and got messages that sounded legitimate.

The Fox News information is followed by suggestions, also kindly emailed to us by LR who found it on a message board, of what to say in your communication.

Next, are a couple of contacts for O'Reilly's radio show.

"I have informed them that I will be contacting their advertisers, the associated advertising
agencies and the internal marketing departments of the companies that advertise products
during "The O'Reilly Factor" to inform them that I will not be purchasing their products or
utilizing their company's services for the duration of their continued advertisement during
"The O'Reilly Factor". I explained to them that the reason for this action was due to Mr.
O'Reilly advocating Al Queda should bomb his fellow Americans in the City of San Francisco.
I explained how irresponsible and inflammatory these comments are and how they verged on the insane.

I further explained that though I do not believe in censorship I believe that the market can
dictate who should be given a platform for their views and that I will be actively
participating in this process.

Please join me in this process and let Mr. O'Reilly and Fox News Channel learn how
irresponsible it is to advocate for the bombing of innocent men, women and children and that
this will not be tolerated by any broadcasting company or their representatives, advertisers
and affiliates.

Bill Maher was fired from ABC for making even less incendiary comments because we voiced our opinions to the marketplace and they listened.

Thank you all for your participation."
