Shepard Smith Talks Straight Even If Scotty McClellan Won't

Reported by Donna - October 31, 2005

Today on Studio B with Shepard Smith, the first 17 minutes of the show were spent on the press conference with White House press secretary, Scotty McClellan. Smith broke in and said that, 'One of the last questions that was asked there -- does the President of the United States wish that Scooter Libby would tell the truth in the investigation? And, a non answer for Scot McClellan on a very difficult day. A non answer from the White House on that very simple question."

Comment: Smith summed it up quite well. The press secretary was asked a very simple question and didn't answer it. This cloak of secrecy stays true at the White House. When you can't answer a simple question such as wishing one of your staff would tell the truth, that tells me the Bush Administration is running scared. Kudos for Smith for pointing it out.
