Dick Morris Doesn't Want To Take Susan Estrich On
Reported by Deborah - October 14, 2005
Susan Estrich appeared with Greta Van Susteren tonight to plug her book, A Case for Hillary and Greta mentioned that Dick Morris won't appear with Susan Estrich to discuss their dueling books. Morris just came out with Condi vs Hillary. Greta told Estrich. "I think he's afraid of you" and then made a bold and taunting announcement in a half teasing tone.
" Let it be known. Dick Morris doesn't want to take Susan Estrich on." 10/14/05
Estrich spoke about the importance of electing a woman as President because it would really " rock the boat." She claimed that a message needs to be sent because right now "women are stuck" and there's still a double standard operating in this Country claiming that the reaction to Harriet Miers illustrates this attitude. Estrich went on to say that people need a couple of years to get used to the idea of a woman as President.
Estrich talked about Clinton's pro war stance and how that might be considered a negative with any other candidate. However, Estrich feels that the support for Senator Clinton is so strong among such a broad spectrum of Democratic voters that her support for the war might not be a problem but added that Clinton faces a major challenge winning the election.
At the end of the interview, Greta threw Estrich a surprise question asking for her take on Karl Rove. Estrich replied,
"I would not want to be in his shoes."
