Special Report edits out Dobson concerns
Reported by Chrish - October 11, 2005
I posted yesterday that James Dobson was shown on Special Report last night to have said 'When you know some of the things that I know, that I probably shouldn't know, you will understand why I believe Harriet Miers will be a good Justice.'"
What was omitted was his caveat bolded here in the full quote:
'When you know some of the things that I know, that I probably shouldn't know, that take me in this direction, you will understand why I have said, with fear and trepidation, that I believe Harriet Miers will be a good Justice.'"
By editing out his doubts about the nominee FOX supports Bush fully and furthers the "trust me" framing.
But there's no litmus test and it's all about "judicial philosophy", or so we're told by George "I cannot tell the truth" Bush.
