New York Subway Threat
Reported by Deborah - October 6, 2005
According to Mayor Bloomberg a very specific threat concerning 19 suitcase bombs in the New York City subway system has created a state of heightened alert in the city. Bloomberg stated that the city has known about this threat all week and decided to share the information today with the public. However, he assured people that he will continue to take the subway and urged everyone to do the same. Catherine Herridge announced that Homeland Security does not agree with the New York assessment claiming that they do not consider the threat credible at the moment.
More to come.
