Hypocrisy Reigns Supreme on Dayside
Reported by Janie - October 5, 2005
Yesterday (10/4) on Dayside, hosts Mike Jerrick and Juliet Huddy spent much of the show discussing the nomination of Harriet Miers for the Supreme Court. During one segment, they interviewed Eugene Delgaudio, President of Public Advocate.
Eugene Delgaudio is a far-right extremist that has been quoted as saying on the topic of homosexuals: "You'll see men hand-in-hand skipping down to adoption centers to 'pick out' a little boy for themselves". He also puts on skits such as "Man-Donkey Mock Wedding Ceremony" to protest politicians from both sides that support homosexuals. Both hosts of Dayside, of course, neglected to mention these "credentials" before interviewing him.
During the interview Delgaudio stated: "If I want to go in a dark room, I'll close the light and we'll have a mystery. If I want to blindfold myself and walk that walk of not knowing what the future will bring, I'll put a blindfold on myself. But this business of not knowing, not having the proof, we've been burned too many times, Mike, Juliet. It's three, four, five times here. Most of the liberals on the Supreme Court, they are appointed by Republicans."
Comment: What an interesting turn of events. These conservatives that are being interviewed on talk shows such as Dayside, are yelling about the same thing Democrats were screaming over the John Roberts nomination. They all want more information on Miers, but when Democrats asked for the same courtesy, they were considered to be "screwing up America". Both hosts of Dayside decided to ignore this glaring hypocrisy and refused to even bring it up during the interview.
