Can Oliver North Separate Fact From Fiction?

Reported by Ellen - October 4, 2005

As I posted above, Oliver North was a guest on Hannity & Colmes last night to promote his new novel about radical Islamic terrorists in Iran threatening the US. Shortly before telling Alan Colmes that he wanted Americans to decide whether the US should assassinate foreign leaders based on reading his novel, North also said that the reason he knows Iraq won't be that kind of threat is because women can vote.

Colmes asked North if, given that Iraq has just decided to adopt an Islamic constitution, Iraq couldn't turn out to be just as much of a threat as Iran.

North answered, "Here's the difference. You're going to have women voting in this election... and the women aren't going to vote to have their kids turned into radical Islamic jihadists... The fact is women... when they raise that purple finger... vote so that their kids can have an education and learn something that's useful to life, not how to die."
