Fox Guest Suggests Ann Coulter for Supreme Court

Reported by Melanie - October 3, 2005

Your World opened today (October 3, 2005) with a four-part segment on the nomination of Harriet Miers to the Supreme Court. Fox reporters Wendell Goler and Megyn Kendall reported from Washington and then, in its typical "fair and balanced" way, Fox featured two ultra-conservative guests, Eugene Delgaudio of Public Advocate of the United States, and Nixon-era jailbird Chuck Colson, who Fox identified only as "Former Nixon Chief Counsel."

Colson was happy with Bush's pick and said Miers will be a "perfect vote" on the court, "along with John Roberts'". Delgaudio, on the other hand, said he "can't trust [Bush] anymore," and he suggested "Ann Coulter, non-judge. We would have fought for her," he said. "Senator Kennedy would have been mad at her but it would have been one hell of a fight wouldn't it have been? Ann Coulter, Supreme Court Justice."

Comment: When the radical, extreme, fringe right thinks of a "conservative" Supreme Court nominee, it thinks of Ann Coulter, huh? Interesting. Interesting too is the possibility that Fox News invited such an extreme guest on in order to make Harriet Miers look like a saint in comparison.
