O'Reilly's Word Can't Be Trusted

Reported by Marie Therese - October 1, 2005

On September 23rd, during an interview with FOX News Military Analyst Gen. Wesley Cark, Bill O'Reilly made a commitment in front of all of his viewers to schedule Gen. Clark for a second interview sometime during the week that just past. At the same time O'Reilly scolded the General for meeting with activist mom Cindy Sheehan, warning Clark to be more careful about the company he kept. Gen. Clark did not back down, but tried to explain his thoughts about a possible solution to the Iraq situation. O'Reilly wanted none of it, preferring to focus on poor-mouthing Mrs. Sheehan. I predicted that we wouldn't see Gen. Clark any time soon and I was right. It will be interesting to see if Gen. Clark is EVER again invited to appear on FOX News, now that he has made it clear that he is not willing to tow the FOX party line. If you wish to "fact check" O'Reilly's statements you can click here to read the original interview.
