Phil Donohue Is Our #1 Top Dog

Ladies and Gentlemen, we have a new category. It's not often that a spunky liberal shines on FOX News but when it happens, we think it should be applauded. Therefore, we initiate this new category for instances where liberals and Democrats prove that it is possible not only to do well on FOX News but to shine. I am especially pleased to make Phil Donohue our very first top dog. Not only did Phil show grit and finesse during his donnybrook with Bill O'Reilly about Cindy Sheehan, but he took immediate control of the conversation.
Rather than defend Cindy Sheehan (as a more typical Democrat on FOX News would have done), Donohue went on the offensive about the attacks against her. The result was that O'Reilly was put on the ropes and never really recovered. He even admitted, at the end, "The Iraq war is not something that I embrace. It absolutely could be a tactical error."
