Why Don't They Love Us?

John Kasich and Nile Gardiner, Heritage Foundation, pondered why other countries throughout the world are writing nasty things about America in the wake of Katrina. Kasich was aghast and perplexed while Nile Gardiner had all the answers. 9/17/05
Kasich commented that Rupert Murdoch had met with Tony Blair about the hatred coming from the BBC. Kasich asked Gardiner if "Bush Hating" was the only reason.
Gardiner came up with the traditional right wing favorites. He claimed they were mocking American values adding that France and Germany have delusions of grandeur and are jealous of our power.
Kasich wondered if they were actually hoping that we would fail in Iraq. Gardiner added that none of them had lifted a finger to help the Iraqi people.
comment: If John Kasich is really perplexed perhaps he should consider taking an objective look at how we might have appeared to other countries.
Here is an article from France about Bush's first trip down to the Gulf after the people had been languishing without help for 4-5 days.
This article from Germany would definitely help Kasich understand other perspectives. Too bad that he's not really interested in exploring the truth
