Despite CIA Report To The Contrary, Sean Hannity Declares It "Incontrovertible" That The President Of Iran Is Former Hostage-Taker

Last night (9/14/05), on Hannity & Colmes, former Iranian hostage Don Sharer told Sean Hannity he's "99% sure" that Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was one of his captors in 1979. Sean Hannity, whose FOX News bio mentions neither any forensic background nor any experience as an Iranian hostage, decided after a brief glance at "Then" and "Now" photos that he was even more certain.
Comparing photos of Ahmadinejad with the 1979 hostage-taker in question, Hannity declared "That's very convincing to me." Later in the segment, any doubts that may have remained in his mind disappeared. Then, Hannity said, "To me it is irrefutable, it is incontravertible (that it's the same person)."
Hannity's pronouncement was counter to a report issued last month by the CIA in which it determined with "relative certainty" that Ahmadinejad was not one of the hostage-takers. But quick-study Hannity somehow knew better.
