Greta Van Susteren Gets Advice From Hillary Clinton

Reported by Deborah - September 6, 2005

Greta Van Susteren was broadcasting from Houston last night and was able to get Senator Clinton to talk with her briefly. Greta opened the interview with a predictable, chit chatty question and didn't seem prepared for Clinton's advice. 9/6/05

Clinton told Greta that the media needed to stay with this story and not drop it in two weeks when the next big story appears adding that maybe now the media will steer away from the stories about celebrities and other less important issues.( like the Holloway Story?) Senator Clinton went on to suggest that she follow lives of the people who had lost everything and were starting again. It was clearly a politely veiled criticism of the superficiality of Fox News.

Van Susteren earlier had a minor incident with George Bush Sr, when she asked him a question that he considered critical of Junior.Greta related the story to Sean Hannity and Alan Colmes and she sounded a little nervous about offending a Bush. Hannity said a little gravely, "I saw that exchange." Then he defended Bush saying that his response was really more joking than serious.

comment: Guess Greta, Fox ratings Queen, was forced down a few notches.
