New Orleans Gets Good News - They've Barricaded the WalMart

Reported by Donna - September 1, 2005

On Studio B with Shepard Smith today there was time for some good news. The WalMart in New Orleans has been barricaded and is being protected by police. I know this will be of comfort to all the stranded people in New Orleans.

The bad news? People still don't have water, food, shelter, bathroom facilities and are dying in the heat and humidity of New Orleans.

For all of the stranded people in New Orleans who are sports fans he had some good (or bad?) sports news for them. He said there was no way the Super Dome was going to be cleaned up - it may never get cleaned up (what will they do, blow it up?) and they won't have to worry about supporting their New Orlean Saints this year, they'll be playing out of San Antonio, Texas.

Comment: I don't know, I find it so ironic that a WalMart can be protected but our fellow Americans cannot.
