Jane Skinner kicks John Gibson's butt

I've got to hand it to her, Jane Skinner ran rings around absent Choco Gibson on today's Big Story 8/30/05. The show was of course largely about the devastation in the south with numerous interviews well conducted by Skinner.
The contrast was stark: she was professional, well-spoken, courteous and fluent, and didn't spit once.
There were some typical Fox ploys beyond her control; for example, during a phone interview with Jesse Jackson, in Venezuela to meet with President Chavez, footage was shown repeatedly of Chavez ceremoniously honoring Jackson with a ribbon and the two men embracing briefly. Knowing Fox's disdain for the Reverend Jackson, visually placing him with the president cements the Fox viewers' antipathy towards both.
Overall a huge improvement, and I can only hope it's permanent but I fear not.
