Telling Fox Off

Reported by Judy - August 29, 2005

Sometimes, man on the street interviews don't go the way the reporter expects, as Shepard Smith found out during storm coverage in New Orleans.

Smith was doing a live shot from the city. After identifying himself and saying they were live on air, Smith asked a man what he was still doing in the city.

"None of your f--king business," the man said.

Smith recoved quickly: "Well, that was a good answer wasn't it?"

Later, Smith targeted two suspects who he was sure would not talk back. "I'm watching two dogs drink out of a glass of ice water," Smith said, "and it's none of my business why they are still here."

Oh, the perils of live TV!

Our thanks to Crooks and Liars for the alert. They have the video here.
