Roger Ailes to Take Over Lachlan Murdoch's Position

Reported by Janie - August 17, 2005

It's official! The powerful position that has been vacated by Rupert Murdoch's son, Lachlan, will be taken over by "former Republican Party operative" Roger Ailes. Ailes will no longer simply be in charge of Fox News, his grasp will now be even more far-reaching and will extend out to all television stations owned by News Corp, and could even become publisher of the New York Post (a position Lachlan held), as well as gaining control of the Australian news papers that are also owned by News Corp. The Business Week article announcing this dramatic, and frightening shift, can be read in detail here.
