Dumb, Da-Dumb-Dumb

Reported by Nancy - August 17, 2005 -

How do you keep informed about real issues if you watch FNL? Short answer: you don't. Here's yet more evidence from the last hour of today's installment (8/17) of the program, anchored by David Asman. (Thanks to il128 for the hook for this intro!)

From 9:00am to 9:30am (EDT), I surfed some major news sites, looking for "developing" or "ongoing" stories, to see how FNL would handle them later this same morning. Turns out that FNL was mainly about Gaza & BTK, with little time for much else. Here are the results

Comment: Believe it or not, during this same hour FNC ran an ad for their "prime-time line-up" that boasted about their international coverage! This, during a program that was all-Gaza-all-the-time -- with one brief aside for Italy.

NOTE TO READERS: Please stay on topic (FNL's choice of which stories to cover). O/T comments will be deleted. Thanks.
