Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, I watch Fox.

Reported by Chrish - August 10, 2005

The Special Report lead-in today 8/9/05 included these nostalgic bits:
"Bush is deeply suspicious but there's still time to talk Iran out of building nuclear weapons as Iranian exiles make new charges Iran is hiding a weapons program."
"Defense Secretary Rumsfeld says weapons from Iran are helping terrorists in Iraq but argues the insurgents are increasingly desperate as Iraqis turn against them."

Hm, where have we heard that before? Exiles claiming the Iraq/n government they ran from has WMDs...Iraq/n has hidden WMD programs...Iraq/n is helping/has helped those who would hurt the US...Bush will give them more time to admit to his deep suspicions...and then, not mentioned, "he" will invade as planned by Rove/Cheney for real reasons not shared with the American public.

As for the Iraqi insurgents' "increasing desperation", this is the 6th time in 16 months that I've noted Rumsfeld saying that. (4/6/04, 9/12/04, 12/08/04, 1/31/05, 5/2/05, and 6/17/05). If there was a color chart for insurgent desperation they'd be at code purple by now.

Amendment 8/10/05: Well apparently I've only caught the tip of the iceberg. Thanks to g-mailer Sal from hairy fish nuts for this link.
