E.D. Hill Wants The A Out of ACLU
Reported by Deborah - August 4, 2005
E.D. Hill was quite annoyed this morning on Fox & Friends because the ACLU is challenging New York City's recent decision to randomly check bags in the subway. She suggested that the A for American be removed from the organizations name. Later in the show, Hill passed on a suggestion from a viewer that the A should stand for Al Jazeera or Al Qaeda.8/4/05
comment: Maybe E.D. Hill and some other Fox folk should take a look at the mission statement on the ACLU website. Their job is to guard the liberties guaranteed by our Constitution and Bill of Rights. How can this be remotely unamerican?
I think the searches in the subway are a fine idea but I'm glad that the ACLU is around to challenge the decision. I want them to maintain a rigid stand on defending our legal rights. At the same time, although I was furious that the Neo Nazi's were given a permit to assemble in a park nearby courtesy of the ACLU, I knew it was the right decision. There is no room for exceptions and each situation needs to be examined and challenged to maintain our freedoms. I suggest that E.D. Hill think about her behavior today because in my estimation she was disrespecting America.
