De plane! De plane!

The only story on the Big Story today 8/02/05 is the plane in Canada going off the runway and crashing. There were, thankfully, no fatalities but lots of smoke, flashing lights, and (bonus) an explosion.
Viewers of the Big Story heard a lot of detail about microbursts, aerodynamics, and the weather in Toronto. Global TV provided video and live interviews.
John Gibson referred to the crash and the lack of fatalities as "the miracle by the highway" multiple times. However he is to be petted for withholding his hostility towards Canada (destination country) and France (country of origin) during the crisis.
Laurie Dhue summed up the entire story, everything heard on the hour with Gibson (and Shep Smith at the top of the hour), in about one minute doing the headlines at the top of Special Report.
