Fox News : Why Are People Attacking Jane Roberts?
Reported by Deborah - July 24, 2005
Liz Trotta appeared on Fox News Live, Sunday, to talk about the article in the New York Times about Jane Roberts' pro bono work for a pro life organization Feminists For Life. Trotta complained that the New York Times put the article on page one on a day when it should have been only about terrorism. She proclaimed that the main stream media doesn't like Roberts because he is Catholic.
After stating that Roberts is disliked because he is Catholic, Trotta criticized Catholic Senator Ted Kennedy for his comment defending Jane Roberts' privacy." Mrs Roberts ought to be out of bounds." Trotta claimed that Kennedy's comment was really an invitation to go after Mrs. Roberts.
Then Trotta went after Hillary Clinton wondering what she was planning to do about Roberts because according to Trotta, Clinton has been "breaking her neck trying to be centrist".
Trotta added that according to Feminist For Life, if you are against abortion, you might as well be Al Qaeda.
comment:Trotta's attack of Ted Kennedy was totally irrational. In one breath she claims that Roberts is disliked because he's Catholic and then immediatly uses Kennedy, also a Catholic, as an example. Also her attempt to twist Kennedy's simple request for courtesy to Mrs Roberts was beyond all reason.
