President Bush Exposes Himself To Press Conference - Not!
Reported by Donna - July 19, 2005
Greg Kelly, substituting for Shepard Smith on Studio B today spoke with former Deputy Attorney General under the Reagan Administration, Michael Carvin, regarding the President's prime time announcement of his choice for his nominee to the U.S. Supreme Court.
One thing stood out and I thank Fox for letting me know. Carvin said that U.S. Supreme Court nominees are usually made by the president in the East Room of the White House in the afternoon and that they were usually press conferences.
Instead, this president has chosen prime time, 9 p.m. est, to announce his nominee and there will be no press conference, only a 10 minute announcement.
Wonder why that might be?
