Bait and switch from Bush administration - yet again
Reported by Chrish - July 19, 2005
The media has been abuzz most of the afternoon with the word that the Supreme Court nominee to replace retiring Justice O'Connor would be Edith Brown Clement.
Now, scarcely an hour before the big "announcement", we are hearing that the nominee will actually be John G. Roberts, a conservative appointed by GW Bush in 2001 to the US Court of Appeals.
This masterful media manipulation has bumped Karl Rove off the tips of tongues, but only temporarily.
The (anti-climactic) announcement by Bush is due momentarily.
