Fox & Bernard Goldberg go Mano a Mano on Hate

Reported by Melanie - July 18, 2005

Bernard Goldberg, the author of 100 People who are Screwing Up America will be a guest tonight (July 18, 2005) on The O'Reilly Factor. Tonight's appearance will mark the eighth time Goldberg has appeared on Fox to promote his book, which was released on July 1. The relationship between Goldberg and Fox is a match made in heaven (or at HarperCollins) and now Fox is spewing Goldberg's brand of hate on its own, even when Goldberg isn't actually on.

This afternoon Fox began running an ad for tonight's O'Reilly show:

The background is red. The announcer says:

Tonight. Hollywood blowhards. Cultural-Elite hypocrites. Intellectual thugs. The controversial new book 100 People who are Screwing Up America. Author Bernard Goldberg takes aim at America-bashers on an explosive O'Reilly Factor you can't miss.

Meanwhile, Fox flashes pictures of these people on the screen:

Jessie Jackson
Howard Dean
Diane Sawyer
Barbara Streisand
Ward Churchill
Oliver Stone
Ted Kennedy
Michael Moore
George Soros
Howard Stern
Michael Jackson
Barbara Walters
Al Franken
Harry Belafonte
Gloria Steinem
Phil Donahue
Al Gore
Robert Byrd
Dan Rather
Al Sharpton
John Edwards
Richard Dreyfus
Anna Nicole Smith
Les Moonves (The CEO of CBS News.)

(There were four or five people who I didn't recognize.)

Comment: Having this hateful author on eight times in 18 days is one thing. Creating a hateful advertisement to promote his appearance is another. Fox's true colors are showing, yet again.
