Hannity Distorts Court Decision
Reported by Deborah - June 27, 2005
Hannity's reaction to the Supreme Court decisions today kept the idea of a dangerous judicial crisis alive for his radio audience. Opening his radio show with a long and rather disjointed historical analysis of the Church/State debate,Hannity then launched into a soliliquoy against Democrats and their conspiracy to take control of the courts and everyone's lives.
Hannity claimed that Democrats never accepted their minority status and are "beside themselves with anger and hatred." He continued that their only chance to promote their radical agenda is to control the courts. "They will do anything to insure that their judicial activists are in the majority."
Hannity instructed his listeners that the three most important issues facing us are national security, homeland security and judicial appointments. He commented that with a bunch of left wing activists legislating our elections won't even matter.
comment: Hannity treats his radio audience like students hanging on to every pearl of wisdom he shares. The first caller was falling all over himself in agreement until Hannity snapped at him for not using his cell properly. It's pretty scary that Hannity can just make up anything he wants and the audience will blindly accept it.
I recently read that 20% of the population get all their news from talk radio. Even if the percentage is off, we know that there is a huge audience accepting the words of Limbaugh and Hannity as truth. This power is destroying the unity of Americans and creating a culture of hate and bigotry that will soon destroy us.
