Burn Fossil Fuels but No Flags

Reported by Deborah - June 23, 2005

The Flag Burning Ammendment was the favored issue today on Fox&Friends. Tom Tancredo,Bob Beaupre, and Jerrold Nadler all weighed in on this non crucial issue and the chatty chums kept the topic in the air.

No surprise there was no mention of the McCain/Leiberman Bill that would limit the burning of fossil fuels and cap CO2 emmissions.
(7:30 to 9AM)

Tom Tancredo R. Colo believes that freedom of speech should be limited expressing concern that the ammendment won't be passed because the Senate is in "meltdown". He blamed the atmosphere on Durbin, Pelosi and " Dean going off his meds."

Bob Beaupre and Jerrold Nadler were introduced by Doocy who stumbled over an intro about cross burning being illegal and not flag burning. When Beaupre spoke he told Doocy that that "was exactly the right context" to use about the issue.Beaupre threw in some references to desecrating Synagogues, Mosques, Churches, and Arlington National Cemetary to push some buttons.

Comment:I watched the Senate discussion on the McCain/Leiberman bill and I was astounded by the Republican refusal to deal with the issue of global warming. They can't get away with calling it junk science anymore but they pretty much ignored the environmental dangers concentrating on economic issues.

Our environment is being totally disrespected by the Republican Legislators who refuse to address this crisis. There will be no second chances for us.The extremes in our weather patterns are getting worse and nobody mentions it. There was 3 feet of hail in Colorado the other day. I guess that was just one of those quirky little things. The hurricaines are increasing in size and frequency.
Our children will be doomed if we don't do something now!
