Fox Actually Covers a Demonstration - Against Gay Rights, That Is

Reported by Melanie - June 18, 2005

We all remember the huge anti-war demonstrations that the press ignored, right? We all remember a "march on Washington" that got little or no coverage, right? Well, Fox News actually devoted some serious time today to covering a demonstration!

A lay Catholic group in Spain organized a demonstration to protest the Spanish government's plan to legalize gay marriage and give same-sex couples the same rights as heterosexual ones, including the right to adopt children. Surprise, surprise! Fox was there. Amy Kellogg, the Fox reporter most often seen reporting from Israel, gave several live, upbeat reports directly from the scene while the camera panned the crowd so everyone could see how big it was.

Comment: Today at least, Fox News loves Europe and the Spanish voters it loves to hate. Above all, Fox is lovin' those protesters! As protesting goes, protesting the "right" issue appears to be the key to getting any significant airtime on Fox.
