Blame It On The Manual And Some Other Lame Excuses
Reported by Deborah - June 18, 2005
Today on Beltway Boys, Fred Barnes complained that he didn't know why Democrats were focusing on mistreatment of prisoners when they should know about the Al Qaeda Manual.According to Barnes this how-to book says "Whatever you do, claim you were tortured."
When Kondaracke mentioned the FBI report, Barnes stood firm with the Al Qaeda Manual excuse. That was only the beginning.
Discussing the failure of Bush's Social Security efforts brought us another lame excuse. Guess who was blamed for that. A clip of the President was shown making this statement about Democrats being obstructionists.
"Philosophy of the stop sign and agenda of the roadblock."
There was no excuse given for the inferior speechwriter.
Then we moved on to Arnold Schwartzeneggar who was making excuses for the unresolved issues in California."People who created the issues
are still there." He was referring to those pesky Teacher's and other special interest groups. Schwartzeneggars plan is to make it harder for Teachers to get tenure.(That should solve all your problems, Arnold)
The final lame excuses were made by Barnes who was trying to cover for Frist's humiliating medical declarations about Terri Schiavo. A clip was then shown of Bobby Schindler with an entirely new story about his sister. "We always knew Terri was profoundly brain damaged.
We just wanted to bring her home." After all of us suffered through the Schindlers tales of Terri asking to live; following them around the room with her eyes, although blind and even a friend claiming that Terri tried to dance with her, there could be no excuse good enough.
