New Neo-Con Fantasy on Bush's Poll Numbers
Reported by Melanie - June 16, 2005
Fred Barnes of the Weekly Standard (owned by Fox's parent company, News Corp.) was a guest today (June 16, 2005) on Your World w/Neil Cavuto. The topic of the segment was that Bush's poll numbers are down because he has taking on too much. So much "reform," and so little time, like reforming Social Security, reforming Iraq, and "changing the ideological balance on the Federal judiciary."
At the end of the segment Barnes said "Bush is an activist!"
Comment: Well, I'd have to agree with the "activist" part but the excuses as to why Bush's poll numbers are crashing are getting crazier and crazier.
Barnes also said Bill Clinton "did nothing" during his second term, words designed to pump-up Fox's bleary-eyed fans and make them hoot and root for their poor, overworked, struggling, "activist" president.
