Kucinich On Fox - He Didn't Stand a Chance

Reported by Melanie - June 16, 2005

Dennis Kucinich was a guest on Your World w/Neil Cavuto Wednesday. Kucinich spoke in broad terms about a proposal he and others will unveil today (June 16, 2005) to bring our troops home from Iraq. Here's my post about the interview, and here's Fox's "transcript, "edited for clarity," of course.

Immediately (and I mean immediately) after Kucinich's interview, Fox trotted out a hawk, "contributor" Lt. Col. Bill Cowan, who was introduced at the beginning of the show over a banner reading, "Dennis the Menace?" Cowan trampled all over Kucinich and demolished his points.

Fox would probably argue, cynically, that it was being "fair and balanced." The problem is, this is Fox's modus operandi. Fox never lets progressive views stand or go unchallenged. The few little peeps progressives are able to make on Fox are usually quashed immediately, like yesterday. If they're not quashed immediately, they're quashed slowly and methodically over time.
