Only On FOX Could Nuclear Energy Be "Green"

Reported by Ellen - June 6, 2005

David Asman, sounding more and more like a car salesman, introduced "The Informer" segment of Forbes on FOX as follows: You wanna fight back against sky high gas prices? Who doesn't? And make money at the same time? Well then, go green." Who would have thought that going green meant going nuclear?

Bill Baldwin, editor, made a pitch for natural gas as a "green" fuel.

Lea Goldman talked about solar technology (the only true alternative fuel mentioned).

Chana Schoenberger actually said, "I think that the only serious alternative energy play here is nuclear. Because nuclear makes a lot of sense environmentally and economically... Actually it's very green because it's no emissions so it doesn't contribute to the greenhouse gas problem."

Comment: I'm speechless.
