Fox News airs dismissive attitude towards North Korean military
Reported by Chrish - May 20, 2005
North Korea was afforded a short item on Special Report with Brit Hume today 5/19/05. Brit read the segment: "US officials noted with interest today an unusual display of conventional weaponry in North Korea. Officials who closely monitor NK tell Fox News that the overt display of artillery, tanks and other vehicles, in the vicinity of Pyongyang, lasted a number of hours."
"The officials said the display did not appear to be military maneuvers or anything threatening but they did see it as a very strange occurrence. One official characterized it as, quote, more North Korean bluster."
Comment: With relations with North Korea as sensitive as they are and administration officials ostensibly trying to arrange the resumption of 6-party talks, why oh why would Fox air a dismissive and inflammatory remark like that? Methinks it's the US officials and the mouthpieces at Fox who are full of bluster, showing off that infamous US swagger. Fox viewers could not handle the truth as told here.
