Hannity Helps Robert Bork Get Revenge

Reported by Deborah - May 19, 2005

Robert Bork got his chance after many years to take his revenge against the Democrats who blocked his confirmation. Bork's interview was the only coverage on H&C of the battle in the Senate and there were no Democratic guests tonight to counter Bork's inflammatory comments. Clearly Bork was out for blood but in the process revealed the far right extremism that prevented his confirmation.

The segment opened with Ted Kennedy's speech today in the Senate which Hannity called a meltdown. In reality, Ted Kennedy was simply expressing the outrage we all feel at the prospect of Republicans destroying our two party system.

Robert Bork immediately claimed that Democrats were "telling falsehoods." Colmes showed a clip of Rick Santorum's very strange comment comparing the Democrats to Adolph Hitler in Paris during WWII. The comparison was weak and convoluted and obviously Santorum's
lame attempt to get Hitler in there somehow.

Bork agreed that the comment wasn't a good idea claiming that D.C. was poisonous now because the Democrats want to keep control of the judiciary in order to promote their liberal agenda. He added that he hoped Republicans would not compromise.

Hannity appeared with his filibuster lie about "never in 214 years has this happened...." Then he read Ted Kennedy's statement from when he blocked Borks confirmation fanning Bork's biterness. Bork responded, "Every one of those allegations was a lie. When I went to see him ( Kennedy ) he didn't look at me. He looked down and said it was nothing personal."

Talking about the evils of the liberal judiciary Bork said,
" Blatant child pornography is free speech. Racial discrimination of white males. Normalizing and legitimizing homosexuality. A blink away from declaring homosexual marriage constitutional."

When Colmes objected that the Supreme Court was definitely not liberal, Hannity jumped down his throat. "Highly liberal!!"

comment: We can only hope that the 204 Judges already confirmed aren't like Robert Bork. Also, why aren't the Hitler phobic Republicans jumping on Santorum for his idiotic Hitler analogy. Oh, let's not forget their claim that the Supreme Court is liberal. This is getting sicker by the minute.
