Cavuto Ends the Week Endorsing GOP Platform
Reported by Melanie - May 13, 2005
Neil Cavuto was a loyal water boy for the radical right today (May 13, 2005) on Your World w/Neil Cavuto. He discussed GOP "mojo" with Bill Bennett and he interviewed Charlie Jarvis of USANext. (USANext is a conservative group fighting for an "ownership" society and fighting to "fix" Social Security. Jarvis and his backers are on a campaign to destroy the AARP for daring to oppose Bush on Social Security.) Cavuto argued in the Common Sense segment that the rich are under appreciated (*"[O]nly in this country are they not given a lick of thanks for doing more.") and in the letters portion he again endorsed nuking the filibuster ("So why does the Senate enjoy this filibuster when no one else in America does?").
TGIF!
* Yeah, right. Like the CEO of United Airlines who got a $3 million signing bonus in 2002, whose contract includes a lavish retirement plan and who is now taking pay and retirement benefits away from the UAL employees who've worked their butts off for years? I think Cavuto needs a lesson in who deserves a "thanks for doing more."
