No WMDs? No big deal.

On The Big Story with John Gibson 5/3/05, his "My Word" segment included a pass for the Bush administration's admitted failures and lies. Of course Gibson didn't put it quite like that.
Speaking of the upcoming British elections John spoke of Tony Blair's unpopular stance beside GW Bush and the declining numbers of support for British involvement in the Iraq war. Gibson said:
"Blair may have been willing but darn few of his countrymen were and now they think Blair fudged, wheedled, and maybe even lied to get them to go along. In fact the families of ten Brit soldiers killed in Iraq have launched an effort to drag Blair into court for lying over the reasons he gave for taking the country to war. You remember, the stuff about the sexing up of intelligence reports, and did Saddam Hussein have WMD that could be launched at unsuspecting coalition troops at a moments notice, well, 45 minutes notice...turns out to be a bit embarrassing since a few years of inspections seem to indicate he would actually have needed several years notice to mix the stuff up, get ready to shoot it out of a gun..But oh well (with a dismissive flip of the hand). The UN thought he had the stuff so why shouldn't Blair and Bush?"
Comment: Aaaarrrgggghh. Why does this moron have a show and even worse a platform for his childish ill-formed thoughts? "Stuff"? "Mix the stuff up"? It creates an image of Hussein with an Easy-bake oven.
He casually dismisses the concerns of millions and millions of people, passing the buck to the horrid UN. (Who, he should be reminded, wanted to finish inspections before the invasion, thereby possibly averting the invasion, and...oh, yeah.)
Good boy, Johnny.
