Most ludicrous quote of the week (month) (ever)
Reported by Chrish - May 1, 2005
In a segment comprised of various clips of senior government officials' comments on the Senate standoff on judicial filibuster (Major Garrett reporting Friday, 4/29/05) Fox snuck in one Patrick Trueman of the right-wing Family Research Council, with the most ludicrous assessment to date.
He said "They (Senate Democrats) have a policy of intolerance against people of faith or conservative values and we're calling that to public attention. And we're not upset with what the president said; he said faith should be a private matter. We agree. It's just that the Senate Democrats don't."
Comment: No serious news network would give voice to such an asinine and unproductive statement. Fox chose the clip and aired it because it suits their agenda of divisiveness and demonizing the opposition.
