Fox News' CEO, Roger Ailes, BSs on C-Span
Reported by Melanie - April 7, 2005
I just caught the last two C-Span minutes of a live conversation between Marvin Kalb and the CEO of Fox News, Roger Ailes. (The "conversation" will be rebroadcast tomorrow morning at 8:34 a.m. ET on C-Span2.)
In those two minutes, Ailes said he's "trying to stay out of the [political] game" (oh really?), he doesn't like those "confrontation shows" like Crossfire (how about Cavuto, O'Reilly and Hannity?), the people at Fox "count on you to be bright" (hardly), the "American people are real smart" (he doesn't believe that for a second), he got out of politics because he "hated" it (he got out of politics?), and he "wanted to go back to hard news" (he's in the wrong place then). I can't wait (?) to see the whole hour of BS tomorrow morning.
