Tom Delay gets Platform on Studio B

Reported by Ellen - March 31, 2005

Studio B with Shepard Smith has been neutral so far in the Terri Schiavo case. However, today, they couldn't resist giving Tom Delay a platform for expousing his thoughts on the case and the judiciary system.

Tom Delay said they would look at an "arrogant, out of control, unaccountable judiciary'" that "thumbs their noses at Congress and the President when given the jurisdiction to hear this case anew and look at all the facts and make a determination. They chose not to participate contrary to what Congress and the President asked them to do. We will look into it."

Smith came back on after the clip and added that Tom Delay said the "men responsible for this'" will be called to account.

He then added that Tom Delay would be Brit Hume's special guest on Special Report with Brit Hume.

Comment: The agenda of this administration is becoming clearer and clearer. Tom Delay was threatening in his speech and seemed to be taking this personally. One way to get the attention off of yourself.

A special note: Smith broke in to say their was a Fox News Alert that the Pope's condition has worsened. Is it good news for the Pope that it wasn't 'Breaking News' and only a 'News Alert'? I will continue to monitor all of this extra attention that the Pope has been getting on Studio B.
