Want Business News? Forget Neil Cavuto
Reported by Melanie - March 18, 2005
Today (March 18, 2005) the Dow and the S&P ended down for the second straight week. The Nasdaq ended at its lowest level of the year. Wall Street had one of the top ten volume days of all time. But, (surprise, surprise), Your World w/Neil Cavuto lead with three segments on "fixing" Social Security. After that, it aired twenty minutes of a live press conference with Michael Schiavo's lawyer. It finished out the hour with a segment on Ireland's economy, Irish investment in the U.S., an interview with the director of the movie "Millions," and a segment about Hyundai cars.
Comment: As is typical, Cavuto's lead "news" (today, Social Security) is Bush's "news," not business news.
