Steroids - What Side Are You On? Does it Split Between the Right wing or the Left?
Reported by Ellen - March 17, 2005
Since just about the whole Studio B show with Shepard Smith today was speaking about steroids in Major League Baseball, I thought I'd get your opinion on the whole deal.
Shepard put out a directive - he gave out his show's e mail address and encouraged everyone to write in about their feelings on this issue.
Toward's the end of the show, he declared that he had received hundreds of e mails - (about halfway through the show he said he had about 700). He claimed that the overwhelming response was that Congress needed to keep it's 'noses' out of private businesses.
Which got me to thinking, is this issue one that can be drawn along political lines? Since we know that Fox's audience is mostly right wing, did this serve a purpose in the outcome of the e mails? What exactly do 'our' readers think about congress investigating Major League Baseball? Do right wingers think one way or does the left think the opposite, or are they pretty much mixed? Just curious.

A special note - I forgot to report that yesterday, Shepard Smith opened up his show with the following statement: "You are looking live at Redwood City, California. Scott Peterson is gonna DIE (his emphasis) this time." My son and I both broke out in spontaneous laughter, because of the way that he said it. Oh, Fox, they just love it when someone is going to die.
