Michael Jackson 5, Tom Delay 0 on Fox News
Reported by Chrish - March 16, 2005
The Big Story 3/15/05 was the Atlanta killings, the incompetence of the sheriff's department, and the need for massive reforms. (14:20. All times do not include teasers.) A distant second was "Judging judges", with guest host Judge Andrew NApolitano discussing the politicization of the judiciary with guest Mark R Levin, author of "Men in Black: How the Supreme Court is Destroying America". (6:50)
The new Gallup poll showing Americans' dissatisfaction with Congress was discussed with Newt Gingrich, who spun it masterfully and segued into support for the Bush Social Security "plan". The 45-second promo at the end of the segment for the upcoming "Pope" special, which Gingrich the serial divorcee is hosting, brought the time to 6 minutes.
Close behind was a segment on the Michael Jackson trial (5:00) and the Scott Petersen sentencing tomorrow (4:15). The Bernie Ebbers conviction merited 2:45.
There was a loud silence on the subject of Congressman Tom Delay's deepening troubles with ethics, not a peep. Once again Fox and Co has missed The Big Story.
