Hannity's Grudge Against NAACP
Reported by Deborah - February 21, 2005
Michael Bond, Julian Bond's son, appeared on H&C to discuss a request from the NAACP to meet with the President to discuss his plans for Social Security. Although the White House has not yet responded to the request, Hannity had his own divisive answer for Bond. " Why should he?" 2/21/05
Hannity told Michael Bond that Bush shouldn't sit down with your Father until he apologizes."Why should he after your Father called him a liar?"
Earlier Bond told Colmes that the NAACP and the African American community are very upset by the insensitive and cynical comments made about black people dying earlier. Bonds also took issue with the claim that the accounts could be passed on to heirs because once benefits begin, the accounts can't be passed on.
Hannity and Bond spent the last minute of the segment talking over each other. Bond familiar with Hannity's harrassment techniques, made sure to keep pounding his message out but nothing constructive was accomplished.
comment: After bad mouthing France, boycotting their wine;taking the french out of fries; disrespecting them in every way possible, Bush is now asking Chirac to sit down and talk. Why should he do it?Should he demand an apology from Bush? Grow up Hannity and get rid of that bully mentality. If you want to continue being number one media messenger for the White House, maybe you should change your style.
