Bill O'Reilly's Wrong About What Embarrasses Colorado
Reported by Melanie - February 7, 2005
Colorado Governor Bill Owens was a guest tonight (February 7, 2005) on The O'Reilly Factor. The topic was Ward Churchill. O'Reilly said Ward Churchill "embarrassed" all of Colorado - from "Trinidad to Greeley" and on "to Steamboat Springs." Governor Owens agreed.
Comment: O'Reilly, you're wrong. The embarrassment has been the Governor. Governor Owens swore to defend and protect the Constitution of the United States of America. Owens said Churchill should be fired for what he wrote, but Owens failed in his responsibility - the responsibility to uphold the First Amendment right of free speech - as guaranteed by that Constitution he's supposed to be protecting and defending.
