Dean, the Dorky Democrat

Harold Ickes was a guest today (February 1, 2005) on Your World w/Neil Cavuto. Ickes, Clinton's former Deputy Chief of Staff, was recently in the running to head the Democratic National Committee but dropped out and endorsed Howard Dean for that position.
Cavuto and Ickes had a civil discussion about Dean, the DNC and the Clintons (of course). Instead of disparaging Dean verbally, Fox did that through the video it showed during the segment. As Cavuto introduced Ickes, a picture over Cavuto's left shoulder showed Dean screaming. As Ickes spoke, Fox showed "the Dean scream" video (of course). A few seconds later Fox showed video of Dean sipping from a stein of dark beer, video of Dean at a fish market catching and then holding up a two foot-long fish, and Dean clumsily buying a bouquet of flowers. Dean was never shown in a dignified, professional, serious forum.
Ah yes, there's more than one way to make a Democrat look bad and this is one of the many ways in which Fox does so.
