"Liberal media" epiphany
Reported by Chrish - January 28, 2005
I've just had an "aha!" moment. Looking at CNN.com and Foxnews.com for information about the Lockheed-Martin helicopter contract, I was struck by the difference in language. On CNN.com, the link from the front page reads "Lockheed Martin to build Marine One helicopter." On Foxnews.com, the corresponding link reads "Lockheed Lands Prez Chopper Contract".
When Fox celebrities make accusations of "liberal" media, what they mean is "literate" media!
Let the "elitist" accusations begin!
Elite - Etymology: French élite, from Old French eslite, from feminine of eslit, past participle of eslire to choose, from Latin eligere.
(French AND feminine - no wonder it galls them so.)
