Where Do They Get This Stuff?

Reported by Melanie - January 22, 2005

I just had to dash off this little post on yet another of the seemingly endless ways in which Fox News works patriotism, God and country into its programming. Fox's innovation and creativity is stunning, really.

At 2:30 p.m. ET today (January 22, 2005) I turned on the tube for a weather update. After watching the forecast for my neck of the woods, I flipped to the Weather Channel, CNN and then Fox News. Instead of sticking a ruler into the snow to illustrate the snow depth, as we see over and over on TV during heavy snow storms, Fox put a replica (approximately 18" high) of the Statue of Liberty outside on a New York City sidewalk. Evidently Fox's viewers will see repeated shots of little Lady Liberty during this weekend's snow storm - Fox's visual aid as to how much snow falls in NYC.

Where Fox gets this stuff, I'll never know.
