Inauguration Eve on Hannity & Colmes

Reported by Deborah - January 19, 2005

Hannity and Colmes were in D.C. but Hannity was in the Whitehouse while Colmes stayed in the studio. Newt Gingrich and Lynne Cheyney were the key guests tonight while everyone waited breathlessly for the Bush's to appear at the Black Tie and Boots Ball.

Hannity and Gingrich took a break from the festivities to attack the new heretics, Barbara Boxer and Joe Biden for daring to stand up to Rice. Gingrich made a revealing comment about dissenting Democrats.
" Haven't they learned anything from Daschle's defeat?"
Colmes took this opportunity to confront Gingrich about future military action in Iran.Gingrich made war with Iran sound inevitable while denying it strongly.

Then viewers were treated to an exclusive with Lynne Cheney who was looking forward to dancing with Dick at 12 Inaugural Balls.Hannity seems incapable of restraint gossiping and whining about Barbara Boxer. Cheney made a point of getting in a scripted comment on Social Security expressing disbelief that the Democrats are saying SS is not in crisis.
" My kids in their 30's know it won't be there for them unless something is done about it now."
Hannity told Cheney that he looked forward to seeing her do the Tango with her husband. She made a comment about a rose in her teeth that she will toss into the crowd. I sure hope she was kidding.

comment: So was Gingrich threatening dissenting Democrats with his comment about Tom Daschle? Was he saying that any Democrat who battles the powerful ones will be destroyed politically at election time like Daschle? Sure sounded that way to me.

I couldn't stand to stick around for the Black Tie and Boots appearance of Bush. Will Laura wear boots with her Oscar De La Renta gown and will we be paying for them?
