Fox News Hires Bill Bennett. Why? To Balance Zell Miller?
Reported by Melanie - January 5, 2005
Conservative pundit Bill (William J.) Bennett has added yet another microphone to his lectern. The man who was the chairman of the National Endowment for the Humanities and Secretary of Education under Ronald Reagan, and who served as George H.W. Bush's "drug czar," was introduced and welcomed "aboard" as a "Fox News analyst" on Your World w/Neil Cavuto today (January 5, 2005).
In addition to his Fox work, Bennett is the "Washington Fellow" at the conservative Claremont Institute and he has a nationally syndicated radio program called Bill Bennett's Morning in America. In addition, Bennett frequently contributes articles to conservative publications.
COMMENT: With Fox's recent addition of Zell Miller to its stable, and now Bill Bennett, it really is time to get on with removing "fair and balanced" from the logo.
