Ah, That Rumsfeld Swagger

Reported by Melanie - December 20, 2004

Terry Keenan substituted for Neil Cavuto today (December 20, 2004) on Your World w/Neil Cavuto. After a report from Iraq by Steve Harrigan, Jerrold Nadler (D-NY) came on to talk about the growing unhappiness with Donald Rumsfeld.

At one point during their discussion Keenan said to Nadler: Rumsfeld is now being criticized for his arrogance but "a few months ago or maybe a year ago that swagger that the Defense Secretary had was considered a very appealing and ah, type of feature that is good for that type of job."

COMMENT: Donald Rumsfeld was responsible for planning the war on Iraq. He's now responsible for managing it. Our kids are dying, Iraqis are dying, and it looks like the situation is going from bad to worse to horrendous. The military buck stops at Rumsfeld's desk. It's just like Fox to reduce the seriousness of the matter to why Rumsfeld's macho swagger was appealing and "good for that type of job" a year ago but it isn't now.
